Chief Librarian

Laila R. Ariate took the helm of chief librarian of the Dominican Learning Resource Center (DLRC) from June 2016 to present. She is both a license teacher and a librarian with eighteen years of practiced in Miriam College, Quezon City.

She was a product of University of the East Manila with a Degree of Bachelor in Elemntary Education with specialization in Library Science. She also earned her Master of Library in Information Science in the same Institution.

Prior to her appointment in Saint Dominic College of Asia, Ms. Ariate worked as Teaching Assistant at Emirates British Nursery, Dubai UAE.

Library Assistant & Head of Technical Section

Edwin P. Abaigar was appointed as the Head of Technical Section of the Dominican Learning Resource Center from June 2015 up to this day. He graduated his Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education at The National Teachers College in 2010. He’s currently completing his Masteral Degree in Library and Information Science in Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

Cataloguer

She was a product of Philippine Normal University with a Bachelors Degree in Library and Information Science in 2015. She earned her license for teachers in 2015, and on 2016 she obtained her license for librarians.

SPrior to her appointment as one of the professional librarians of St. Dominic College of Asia, Johny A. Prudencio first practiced her profession in Woodridge College for one year.

Acquisition

Marlon G. Ompoc is a product of Mindanao State University (Main Campus) in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Library and Information Science. He completed his Master in Library and Information Science in Lourdes College last March 2014 and currently completing his units in Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration and Supervision in Cagayan de Oro College.

With his earned experiences and credentials, Marlon was appointed as one of the professional librarians of St. Dominic College of Asia.

Reference/Reserve/Filipiniana/Circulation

Jerica V. Dioneda is currently working at the Dominican Learning Resource Center – College Library as the Reference/Reserve/Filipiniana/Circulation Librarian. She graduated at the University of the East with a degree in Bachelor of Library and Information Science on 2006.

Prior to her appointment as one of the professional librarians of St. Dominic College of Asia, she practiced her profession in San Beda College Alabang from June 2010 to February 2011, Divine Light Academy from February 2011 to April 2012, and St. Edward Integrated School from May 2012 to April 2016.

Periodical

Rene Andrew M. Buswilan earned his Bachelor diploma in Library and Information Science in 2012 at Benguet State University. He started working in February 2017 as the Periodical Librarian of the Dominican Learning Resource Center – College Library.

Prior to her appointment as one of the professional librarians of St. Dominic College of Asia, he practiced his profession in San Sebastian College Recoletos de Cavite as an Instructional Media Center Librarian.

Library Assistant

Princes D. Villanueva is currently working as a Library Assistant of the Dominican Learning Resource Center – College Library. She performs clerical and other library work as required. Ms. Villanueva earned the degree of Bachelor in Public Administration and Governance at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sto. Tomas Batangas in 2010.

Antonia B. Rieta graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education major in Religion and Library Science in 1997. She is currently working in Dominican Learning Resource Center as a Library Assistant where she performs clerical duties and other library work as required.

Adrian Lexter N. Maraya starts working in Dominican Learning Resource Center as a Library Assistant. He graduated in 2015 at Cavite State University—Cavite City Campus with his Bachelors degree in Information Technology.
